Welcome to Malow Junior High School. We serve 1,197 students in seventh through ninth grades.

Malow is currently applying for North Central Accreditation.

Malow's focus on teaching and learning results in a high success rate for students, as measured by test scores, report cards, and promotion rates.

Focus on the Success Skills (Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Personal Best and Positive Communication) and the Mustang Respect Code have fostered a positive climate for learning.

Malow's professional staff is dedicated to educating young adolescents and works hard to provide opportunities for success for all students.

Malow welcomes parent involvement in school activities and appreciates parental support of their children's education

The Macomb County Board of Commissioners has recognized a Malow parent for her outstanding contribution to the school.

9th grade band and orchestra students won the Esprit de Corps trophy, as well as top performance honors, at the 2001 Music in the Parks international competition in Toronto.

Science Olympiad Team placed second in the Macomb Regional competition, then placed fourth in the State Science Olympiad at Michigan State University in spring, 2001.

Academically talented students took part in the UCS Celebration of Books, capturing top honors for competition in several divisions.

Integration 2000, an industry-education partnership that provides expanded opportunities for student learning, has achieved professional and governmental recognition at the national level.

Drafting students take top awards each year in the Michigan Industrial Technology Educators Society state competition.

Science students participate in the JASON project interactive science/technology workshops.

Eighth grade students visited the Holocaust Memorial Center or attended a performance of "Diary of Anne Frank" at Meadowbrook Theatre.

Life Skills students participate in community service projects at sites such as area churches, schools, hospitals, day care centers and nursing homes.

The Social Studies Department holds a National Geography Bee.

The Student Council coordinates several charity efforts throughout the year, to which students and staff respond generously.

Builders Club, affiliated with the Shelby Kiwanis, participates in school and community service projects.

Our students have been successful in Michigan Industrial Technology Education competition as well as the Model Boat Regatta on Belle Isle.

Our athletic teams have been successful in competition and our student athletes have represented Jeannette with pride.

Athletic teams represent Malow with responsibility and pride.

Malow teachers and administrators have earned top professional honors.
