Kindergarten Eligibility
Children can be enrolled for kindergarten or our Young Fives program if they turn five on or before December 1, 2026.
Schools of Choice
Families interested in enrolling in UCS from outside of our district may apply through our Schools of Choice process.
Kickoff to Kindergarten
Each UCS elementary school will be hosting a Kickoff to Kindergarten event. Parents/guardians who have completed the enrollment process are invited to attend this event along with their future class of 2026-27 kindergarteners as it will serve as a chance to see your child's homeschool, meet the staff and have your child see their future elementary school.
Young Fives families: We look forward to having you attend Kickoff to Kindergarten next year so that you and your child can get acquainted with your homeschool!

Registration Requirements
During registration, you will be asked to provide the following information. You may upload these forms along with the immunization records or turn them in at the school office.
- Child's birth certificate
- Michigan driver's license, Michigan ID or a work photo ID
- Current property tax bill, current lease agreement or closing documents (for recently purchased homes)
- Immunization Records
- Vision and Hearing
- Dental Screening
