Utica Community Schools student publications from all UCS High Schools have been honored as among the best in the State of Michigan.

Newspapers and yearbooks produced by students were honored by the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association in both “Spartan” and “Gold Medal” categories.

Spartan Award (Top Ranking )

  • Eisenhower High School Newspaper, The Eagle’s Eye. Editors Kendall Westgate, Justice Seay and Sophia Considine and advisor Erica Kincannon.
  • Utica High School Newspaper, Arrow - Editor Mackenzie Olmstead and Advisor Stacy Smale.
  • Stevenson High School Yearbook, The Ambassador. Editor Allison Helsel and Zacary Cuidini and Advisor Paula Pantano. The theme was: Because We Can.
  • Henry Ford II High School Yearbook, The Executive. Editor Jackie Phillips and Advisor Alexis Campion. The theme was: Own It

Gold Medal Awards

  • The Eisenhower Yearbook, Esprit de Corps. Editors Anthony Berkimer, Alyssa Putnam and Chloe Pierce and advisor Erica Kincannon. The theme was – Why Wait?
  • Utica High School Yearbook, Warrior. The Editor Ashley Siluk and Advisor Stacy Smale. The Theme was: 2.0
  • Henry Ford II High School Newspaper, The Generator - Editors Brendan Moor, Edith Pilarksi and Kurt Szymanski and Advisor is Alexis Campion
