Art History Pieces

Three Gene L. Klida Utica Academy for International Studies students have been honored for their artwork to support a community event honoring Black History Month.

The artists were honored the Sterling Heights African American Coalition at the community group’s third annual program on February 23 commemorating a century of Black History Commemoration.

In addition to providing artwork, the students wrote powerful essays about their work.

The artwork was judged by Wendy Popko and Jessica Conti, of the Sterling Heights Arts Commission.
