Student choir will premier original work from their teacher
Students practicing for the Utica Cluster Concert
The 6th grade choir students of Roberts, Flickinger, West Utica, Monfort, and Wiley will perform in a combined concert with Eppler JH and Utica HS on Wednesday, December 11, 7:00 @ UHS. The concert is free to the public.
The combined 6th grade choirs will be giving the WORLD PREMIERE performance of "When Children Start to Sing" composed by UCS teacher Dana Gress. This piece was specifically written for this event and features singing in 2 to 3 parts with a descant (an optional part usually written for high-voiced sopranos that adds an additional layer of harmony). This festive piece portrays the magic of the winter season.
For more information about this world premiere, contact Mr. Dana Gress at Roberts Elementary 586-797-6100 or email dana.gress@uticak12.org.
