UCS teams to compete for state FTC robotics championship

Earlier this month, the two teams representing Utica Community Schools, Vicious Volts and Raging Robots, competed at a very high level in their FTC Robotics Competition at Rochester High School.

Each team competed in five  matches where the Raging Robots went undefeated while the Vicious Volts won 3 of their 5 matches.

The Raging Robots ended up being a captain during the elimination rounds and picked the Vicious Volts as a partner.  This alliance allowed both teams to win all the elimination matches earning their spot at the State Finals on Dec 9th & 10th at Macomb Community College South Campus.

They will continue to make improvements on their robots from lessons learned in hopes of being successful at the State Finals where they have an opportunity to qualify for World Finals.

The team members are from Shelby, Malow, Bemis, Heritage, Hart, L’Anse Cruse and Jack Harvey Elm.
