Davis student creates 2025 River Day cover art
When Gabriella Tuzzolino had the opportunity to create the cover art for River Day 2025, she hopped to it.
As a result, her frog design won the youth category of the Clinton River Watershed Council's River Day design contest and was included in all promotional materials for the June 7 event.
“I made this design for a class assignment,” she said.“I made this design for a class assignment. It was the first time I tried drawing a cartoon style frog. I usually draw realistic portraits of friends and family and famous people. Winning this contest empowers me to consider drawing animals in my own style.”
The River Day Design Contest encouraged local artists to get involved in the promotion of River Day and celebrates the national world through art. Designs were voted on at CRWC’s Annual Meeting in April and on Facebook.
The June 7 River Day was held to encourage appreciation and recreational use of the waterways of the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair and to celebrate the leadership of local citizens, organizations, and communities whose efforts are critical to protecting and enhancing the overall quality of the Clinton River watershed.
