    Good afternoon Titan community,

The start of the school year is quickly approaching, and our office staff has been working hard to ensure that Stevenson High School is ready for the first day of school on August 26. I am excited to begin my seventh year as Principal, and I look forward to welcoming all our returning students as well as our class of 2028 to Stevenson.

This is the first of many Titan Voice emails you will receive from me. I do my best to communicate through email (Titan Voice) every other Friday during the regular school year. The Titan Voice as well as the Stevenson website should be your go-to sources for important updates and information.  You can always find the latest Titan Voice under the “News’ section on our website.

Please note that there is a slight change to our school hours this school year. Our new day will run from 7:15 a.m. – 2:09 p.m.

Please note, all students must exit the building by 2:30 p.m. unless they are directly supervised by a teacher, coach, or staff member. Students who have practice or activities that begin later in the day should go home and return at their scheduled time. Additionally, for safety reasons, students are not permitted to use the gym facilities unless a staff member or coach is present.

If you miss Titan Days, students can pick up their laptop on Friday, August 22 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or on Monday, August 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Media Center. These times are for LAPTOP pick up only.

If your students name is spelled incorrectly in Powerschool, please email Caren.King@uticak12.org to get it corrected.

A parent must call the attendance line at (586)797-1999 if your student will be absent, tardy or will have an early dismissal. The attendance desk will enter the attendance in Powerschool. For early dismissals, the student will be written an early dismissal pass that they can pick up from the attendance desk. DO NOT call the main office for attendance.

    PARKING PERMITS

Mrs. Johnston will be accepting parking permit applications from incoming seniors - class of 2026 at Titan Days, before and after school and at lunch time. The permits are $75. You can find the Parking Permit Application on the Stevenson website: Stevenson High School under Parent Quick Links. Please print it and bring copies of all required documents. *Junior (class of 2027) parking permits will be available for purchase starting September 8 and will be first come, first served, based on availability and eligibility. *Please note that all fines must be paid prior to purchasing a parking permit.

We will continue the Attendance Program from last school year. Parking permits are dependent on attendance. Students who have accumulated 5 or more tardies and/or Unexcused absences, will not receive their parking permit for the 1st five weeks of the school year (September 30, 2025). At that point, with responsible attendance, parking will be reevaluated for the school year. In addition, outstanding fees must be paid in full to be eligible for a parking permit. (Contact Remi Darroch, Bookkeeper, at remi.darroch@uticak12.org, 586-797-1903 for questions about your students fines.)

Reminder that students are expected to be in school on time. Parking Permits may be suspended for the following reasons:

    Excessive unexcused absences or tardies

    Careless or reckless driving

    Persistent disciplinary issue

We are looking forward to seeing the Stevenson halls filled with students on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

    With Titan Pride,
