Career and Technical Education (CTE) challenges students to think critically and make relevant real world connections with their learning. Our students receive both the best opportunities available and in a challenging learning environment. We are committed to providing students with these instructional choices to further refine their employability skills and help them identify a rewarding career. Students enrolled in Career and Technical Education are better prepared for the collaborative nature of college and career.

Students have the option of investigating a variety of interesting pathways, including (but not limited to) careers in Arts and Communications, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Human Services and Health Sciences.

Other educational opportunities available to our students include:

    • Articulated college credit through Macomb Community College, Davenport University, and Baker College
    • Career Information Centers in all four high schools
    • Industry certifications
    • Post graduation-Registered Apprenticeship opportunities
    • Internships and job shadowing opportunities

In short, our students can complete a program, get college credit, find an internship, and earn industry recognized certifications at the same time they’re fulfilling their high school graduation requirements.
