Browning Announcements

  • Good afternoon,

Last bit of information before tomorrow’s 6th grade move-up ceremony.

    1) Students will enter building as usual.
    2) Door #2 opens at 9:00 for parents (where the students normally enter)
    3) Please sign in and take a visitors badge (security is always at the forefront)
    4) The program will begin promptly at 9:30 and will be broadcast throughout the school.
    5) Please do not sign out siblings and bring them to the ceremony. They get bored and would rather be with their classmates on the last day having fun.

Looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the Browning Class of 2024. 😊

Mr. Misovski, Mrs. Misch, and Ms. Johnston

  • Good morning Browning Families,

We've made it to the finish line - hard to believe as it seems like yesterday we welcomed our students for the first day of school. Please read the info below:

    1) Today, Thursday, 6/6 and tomorrow are both half days with dismissal at 12:04.

    2) We still have yearbooks in the office for sale if interested for $20

    3) Thank you to our PTA, Browning staff, and our Browning community for making last week's Fun Fair such a success. :-)

    4) It's been a great school year. Wishing much success to our 6th graders moving onto secondary school, and looking forward to seeing our returning students. The first day of the 2024-2025 school year is on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

    5) Bear Days info will be shared in August.

Have a safe and happy summer break.

    Sincerely,

  • Browning Parents of 5th Grade Students,

Your child received a letter from me regarding math placement for next year and the summer work they need to complete before the 24-25 school year begins to be ready for 6th grade math. There are in-person and online options. Please ask them to show it to you.

To register, please go to the website below and follow the prompts. Regardless of what math program they are doing, it's the same link: https://www.uticak12.org/domain/103

Note: the link in the letter may not work, but the link above does.

If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Sierzenga, Ms. Petrimoulx, or me.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Misovski, Principal

  • Happy Friday Browning Parents,

    1) I'm so glad we didn't cancel Field Day.  The students are having so much fun and the weather turned out great!

    2)  As part of being a Title I school, we would like parent input on how we can best serve you, our Browning parents, and by partnering together, serve our students.  The survey below  is fairly short - 14 questions.  We would appreciate it if you could complete the survey by May 23rd.

  • Browning Families,
    1) Tomorrow, Friday, May 17th is Field Day. We all know living in Michigan the weather can be fickle. Our plan is to continue with field day as scheduled. We will only cancel if absolutely necessary. I will send a text first thing in the morning if that's the case (rainout day is May 23rd). Teachers have shared what students need for that day like tee shirts, shorts, older tennis shoes (they can get dirty) etc.

    2) Our PTA is hosting a fun fair on May 31st. It's always a lot of fun, but the day wouldn't be successful without volunteers. You can volunteer at the link below: https://signupgenius.com/

    3) Pastries with Parents - end of the year wouldn't be complete without our parents and students having breakfast together. You are cordially invited to the event on Friday morning, May 24th from 8:00 to 8:40.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Browning office.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Misovski, Principal

  • Hello Browning Families,

Field Day is scheduled for Friday, May 17th. Lower elementary students in grades Pre-K through 2nd will participate in the morning. Upper elementary, grades 3rd - 6th will participate in the afternoon.

We need parent volunteers in order for field day to run smoothly. An approved volunteer background check must be on file in the office in order to attend. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.

Reminder for volunteers: Field Day requires your complete attention, so no younger children in strollers or toddlers please. Also, only background cleared volunteers who are working will be allowed on the field.

If you have any questions please contact the office at officebrowning@uticak12.org. or email to the following teacher @ KOURIE.ANDRAS@uticak12.org

  • Browning Families,

We're hosting a fun and learning night for students and their parents to participate in Spring literacy activities, swap used books with the community, and plant a flower to take home! This event will take place on Tuesday, May 14th from 6-7pm. We ask that families complete the RSVP at the bottom of the flyer (attached) by May 7th so we can have enough supplies for each parent and child, and because we are ordering the number we need for those who RSVP, we can't accept late requests.

Looking forward to seeing our Bear community on the 14th.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Misovski, Principal

  • Browning Families,

The last two weeks on morning announcements our students have heard the announcer say, "NED is coming". They're like, who is NED? The will finally get a chance to see NED (shhh , it's a motivational assembly) on Monday, April 15 at 9:30.

Part of their "pay if forward" philosophy is they will not charge us money. Instead, we will conduct a yo-you sale the next two weeks and any money we raise at Browning will go to fund the assembly for another school. A school did it for Browning and it's our turn to 'pay it forward'. Love the concept. Please see flyer below for details.

    Happy Yo-Yoing,
    Mr. Misovski, Principal
