Two UHS grads honored for achieving perfect 4.0 at MSU

Two Utica High School graduates are among 62 college seniors honored by Michigan State University for their perfect academic record.

Francesca Rea and Sebastian Shaman, 2020 graduates of UHS, were awarded the MSU Board of Trustees’ award, recognizing their achievement of a 4.0 GPA.

In addition to being recognized by the MSU Board of Trustees in December, students were also recognized during their individual commencement ceremonies and received a $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments.

Rea earned a bachelor’s in kinesiology from the College of Education and will continue her studies at the Oakland University Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Shaman earned a bachelor’s in physiology from Lyman Briggs College.
