No Tax-Rate Increase Facilities Bond Proposal

The Safety and Success Bond Proposal will:
-
Provide important safety enhancements throughout our schools, including additional layers of security at entry points at the main entrance and other exterior doors such as shatter-resistant glass
-
Remodel, rebuild or upgrade facilities and fields to protect the community’s investment in its schools
-
NOT be an increase to the district’s current debt tax rate – the lowest in Macomb County

Non-Homestead Millage Proposal

The Non-Homestead Operating Replacement Millage:
-
Represents previously authorized millage by voters that is restricted to businesses, vacant land, rental properties, and second homes
-
Is a levy in every Michigan community to allow local school districts to receive their full share of state revenue
-
Is NOT levied on owner-occupied primary homes and has ZERO impact on a homeowner's property taxes
-
Supports school operations, including safety initiatives and training, teachers and staff, programs and services, and utilities such as heat and water
-
Represents $41 million in annual funding to help maintain academic programs and services that support the district's track record of excellence
